Jessie and James aren't the only members of Team Rocket. Butch and Cassidy are favored by the Boss because Jessie and James never bring him any valuable Pokemon.

One of the running jokes on the Pokemon cartoon is that no one ever gets Butch's name right. He's often called Biff and it really bothers him.

Their version of the Team Rocket Motto is slightly different.

Team Rocket Motto - Diamond and Pearl Version

Sure it was exciting that they added new Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl but I was happier to learn that Jessie, James and Meowth updated the Team Rocket Motto.

Here is the Team Rocket Motto for Diamond and Pearl:

Jessie: Listen, is that a voice I hear?
James: It speaks to me loud and clear.
Jessie: On the wind.
James: Past the stars.
Meowth: In your ear.
Jessie: Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace.
James: Dashing hope, putting fear in it's place.
Jessie: A rose by any other name is just as sweet.
James: When everything's worse, our work is complete.
Jessie: Jessie.
James: James.
Meowth: Meowth now thats a name!
Jessie: Putting the do-gooders in their place
James: Team Rocket!
All: We're in your face!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!
Mime Jr: Mime mime!

Team Rocket Motto

I don't know about you but when I hear the name Jessie James my thoughts aren't of an gunslinger from the old west. No, I immediately picture that chaos causing duo, Jessie and James from Team Rocket.

As far as bad guys go, Team Rocket is pretty harmless and extremely amusing. Their schemes are doomed to failure within the first few minute of each Pokemon episode but they're still fun to watch. And I don't know why they're always after Pikachu, when they have one of the only talking Pokemon in the world with them. Meowth is probably more valuable than Pikachu but I guess boss isn't interested. Go figure.

My favorite thing about Team Rocket is their ridiculous motto that they recite every time they reveal themselves to Ash and the gang. In case you want to follow along at home, here is the Team Rocket Motto:

Prepare for trouble...
...And make it double

To protect the world from devastation...
...to unite all peoples within our nation.

To Denounce the evils of truth and love...
...To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie...
...James
Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light...
...surrender now or prepare to fight.

MEOWTH THATS RIGHT!
