Smash Bros. Brawl Sells 1 Million Copies in 11 Days
Tuesday, February 12, 2008
I'm very happy that Super Smash Bros. Brawl was finally released in Japan and that it's selling really well. But I'm also really jealous that 1.08 million people are already playing the game and I'm not one of them.
I guess everyone has been waiting for a hot new game for the Wii and Smash Bros. Brawl seems to be it.

Piplup To Appear In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Thursday, September 20, 2007
The marketing guys for Super Smash Bros. Brawl are super geniuses. We keep hearing little bits of news about the upcoming Wii game on the Super Smash Bros website all the time. And that's much more effective for building a buzz than the usual methods. First because people like me are checking the site almost everyday for new announcements and second, because it's keeping Super Smash Bros. constantly in the news and constantly in the minds of the people looking to buy it.
I'm only posting about the Pokemon related news but even so, there's still a lot of it. There was the announcement about the addition of the Pokemon Trainer, then they let us know that the Pokemon Trainer would have a total of 9 special moves by using his three Pokemon (Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard). And just recently Munchlax was added to the brawl as well.
Now this week we get news on the official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website that that Piplup has now been added as an item. This game is turning into a Pokemon fan's dream. Piplup, reportedly comes out of it's Pokeball and uses surf to wash away anyone in it's path.
I hope that those marketing guys are being rewarded for the excellent job that they're doing.

Munchlax Added To Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tuesday, September 11, 2007
Two weeks ago I posted about how Pokemon Trainer was added to Super Smash Bros Brawl and now today I read that Munchlax has been added too.
There is now some serious Pokemon representation in Super Smash Bros. Remember that Pokemon Trainer (who looks like Ash to me, I don't know why they didn't call him Ash Ketchum instead of the generic Pokemon Trainer) stays out of the action but can call out three different Pokemon (Squirtle, Charizard and Ivysaur). And everyone's favorite electric mouse, Pikachu was already in the game as well.
If you aren't familiar with Munchlax, it's like to eat and sleep. It evolves into a Snorelax and then it just likes to eat. In Super Smash Bros Brawl, the Munchlax slowly walks around the ring and eats things. Sounds like a winner to me.

Super Smash Bros Pokemon Trainer Special Moves
Sunday, September 2, 2007
I just read at the Super Smash Bros. Dojo that the newly added Pokemon Trainer's special move is Pokemon Change. And with his selection of three Pokemon to choose from (Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard) that give him 9 special moves in total to work with. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Super Smash Bros. Adds Pokemon Trainer
Friday, August 17, 2007
A brand new fighter has been added to Super Smash Bros. Brawl and he looks a lot like Ash Ketchum. They’re actually calling the character Pokemon Trainer but fans of the Pokemon cartoons will recognize him as Ash.
And the Pokemon Trainer gets to take it easy on the sidelines and sends one of his three Pokemon (Squirtle, Ivysaur & Charizard) out at a time. Switch is done with a special move called Pokemon Change. All three share a damage meter so a switch won’t help you recover.
Since he isn’t even doing the fighting, why not add Misty or Dawn too. But I guess they wouldn’t call them by their names either and they add someone called Girl Pokemon Trainer.
